How your survey works
Detection · Range · Evidence
Detection
A high-sensitivity laser methane sensor (TDLAS) captures concentrations from 5 ppm·m over pipelines, high-pressure networks, tank farms, biogas and wastewater plants — including hard-to-reach terrain.
Range
Up to 80 km of network per day versus ~5 km with ground walking — one pilot covers multiple sections daily from the operations centre.
Evidence
Continuous georeferenced heatmap plus automatic reporting with GPS track. Court-ready PDF reports for authorities, DVGW-compliant.
Starting point
Why classic walking surveys get expensive
Time
Ground surveys cover ~5 km/day — your mandatory check stretches over weeks.
People & risk
Staff walk explosive atmospheres and rough terrain (fields, forest, water, rail corridors).
Cost
Travel, corridor closures, disruption of live operations.
Proof
Incomplete documentation is hard to defend toward the authority.
Each of these points costs more per cycle than the drone-based service — with better evidence.
Predictable cost by network scope — one service covering operations, analysis, documentation and insurance (OPEX not CAPEX). Full coverage of the legally required annual inspection without extra authority burden for you.

Benefits
Your advantages at a glance
16× more network per day
Up to 80 km vs. ~5 km on foot.
Highest sensitivity
Detection from 5 ppm·m.
No people in Ex zones
No personal exposure at hazardous plants.
Weather-robust
Tough IP rating for outdoor work.
Live data
To control room and client.
Automatic reporting
GPS track and heatmap included.
Repeatable
Stored flight routes — comparable year-over-year series.
4K & thermal as bonus
Extra corridor checks in the same flight.
SCADA & GIS
Interfaces to your existing systems.
GDPR, isolated
Local data holding, no third-party cloud access.
Process
Four steps to a court-ready annual inspection
Network check (free)
We review your section, permit status (LUC) and flight routes — no obligation.
Survey flight
Automated measurement on a stored route from the GDDC control centre — no staff of yours required.
Analysis
Georeferenced heatmap, leaks located, data held GDPR-compliant on GDDC systems.
Court-ready report
DVGW-compliant PDF for your annual inspection and the authority; SCADA/GIS handoff on request.

Municipal utilities
Leak localization in the supply network.
Service firms
Gas-network aerial survey as operated service.
Biogas plants
Control and self-monitoring measurement.
Wastewater plants
