When do we talk about SAIL V–VI?

SAIL V–VI concerns scenarios with a high Intrinsic Ground Risk Class (iGRC 7+) — e.g. densely populated areas, heavy payloads or BVLOS with increased exposure.

The permit path leads via:

  • LUC Scope C or
  • transition into the Certified category (CS-UAS / type certification)

Practical tip

Many projects can be brought back down to SAIL IV through mitigations or site selection. Start with the permit finder and a ConOps check.
